An Auckland resident who has returned from! Queensland reports with pride that jNlew Zealand has won some distinction as a horse-breeding country with the Queensland farmers. The Queensland Government recently purchased six flue draught horses to exhibit for education purposes in the endeavour to induce settlers to breed a better class of horse. One of the best Queensland judges was sent for this purpose to New South . Wales and Victoria, and on making his final selection it was found that five out of the six stallions purchased were New ea land-bred:
