A public meeting, will toe iheld in the 'Maoriland Theatre this evening, When Mr A. Seifert will deliver an address on the research, arid experimental work in! the flax industry. It is to toe hoped there will be a large attendance of the public as the industry is of vital importance to the whole of this district. . The address is being given under t/he auspices of the Shannon Chamber of Commerce. Friends and relatives of men from this district, who served in the war, are reminded to forward the names of soldiers to Mr J. T. Bdvis, Town Clerk, so that a complete list , cap., toe compiled for inscribing on the- Spldiers’ Memorial to ba ersbi ed.
