NEW RACING LEGISLATION. PUBLICATION of dividends. WELINGTON, Last Night. A question was asked in the House some days ago as to whether it was the, intention of the Government to bring down legislation during the present session dealing with the issue of extra t’otalisator permits and to take into special, consideration the claims of those clubs who have not permits ,at the pressent time. The Ministerial reply, given to-day, is that legislation on the subject is in the course of preparation.

A question was asked by Mr Witty as to whether the prohibition of the publication of dividends would be lifted, and the Minister, Mr Bollard, pointed out that as a Bill was to be introduced this year, that would enable the question to be submitted to the House if was not expressly dealt with in the Bill.
