SHANNON STOCK SALE.
At the Shannon Stock sale held yesterday there was a fair yarding of stock and a good attendance of buyers. All the sheep entered were quitted a.t prices satisfactory fo vendors. A fair number of dairy cows came forward 1 , but failed to reach vendors’ reserves. The section of land offered on beha-lf of the trustees of the Warrington estate failed to receive any enquiry iaind was .passed in.. Following prices were obtained: Sheep.—l 4 cull ewes 15/-, ewes in lamb to black face rams 23/-, 64 ewes in lamb to Southdown rams 26/3,, forward ewes 15/10, hoggets 16/3 and 17/5. Cattle: Empty cows 25/- to £2 15s, fat cows £4, £4 4s, £4 3s, fat bullocks £8 7s 6d.
