SALE OF JERSEYS.
MR BOWKER’S PEDIGREES. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report that at the Levin isaleyards on Wednesday, they conducted the first; annual consignment sale of pedigree i and grade Jersey stock on account of |Mr S. Bowker, of Ihakara. There was a large attendance of buyers, and the whole of the stock was sold under keen competition. Prices realised were as follow: — TWO-YEAR-OLD PEDIGREE HEIFERS Jersey Lee Trilby, in calf to Jersey Lad Monarch.—Griffiths Bros., Levin, 35£ guineais. Jersey Lee Ida, in calf to Jersey Lee Junior.—Griffiths Bros., Levin. 35 gns. Jersey Lee Lucy Ann, in calf to Jersey Lee Senior—Griffiths Bros., Levin, 35 guineas. jersey Lee Lady Love, in calf to Jersey Lee Cream Bov.—Frost and Frost, Johnsonville, 20 guineas. TWO-YEAR-OLD PEDIGREE BULLS. Jersey Lee Cream: Boy.—L. Howell, Paraparaumu, 32 guineas. jersey Lee Dinkum.—R. J. Thompson; Foxton, 33 guineas. Jersey Lee Pilot.—Rere Nicholson, Levin, 21 guineas. Jersey lee Captain.—A. K. Spiers, Foxton, 33 guineas. Grade .heifers in calf averaged £l3 15s and grade? cows, spring calvers £9 10s to £l7 ss.
