DENTON DIVORCE SUIT.

FURTHER EVIDENCE FOR PETITIONER. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Further eAidence in the Denton dlvorce suit Avas taken to-day. Mr. Moir, solicitor, gave evidence of his efforts at reconciliation between Denton and liis wife, at a meeting of the parties, letters Avere produced. One from Carrington contained the phrase: “ Be a good little girl till I cpme back.” Witness advised Mrs. Denton to get the letters back. On NoA r ember 21. she showed him certain letters Avliich had been Avanted back, but some he had previously seen Avere not among the bundle. At the meeting referred to Rosenberg’s name had not come up. There was nothing in the letters that suggested misconduct, except the phrase already mentioned. Mr. D. M. Finrllay, for Carrington, addressed the Court on the question of c ondonation and submitted that full qohabitation and complete reinstatement of conjugal relations took place after Nov mber 3, Avhen there Avas evidence that Denton believed his wife guilty.

In tlie afternoon proceedings, Rosenberg, the second co-respondent, was the chief witness. He gave a complete denial to the allegations of misconduct, and stated that a witness named Ironside, who could have strengthened his case a great deal, Avas not to be found. He had gone to see Mis Denton only in Ironside’s presence and at the latter’s imitation. Witnesses were also introduced to show that Rosenberg was an enthusiastic member of the Men’s Club, where he rarely missed a night, being an enthusiastic chess player.

This concluded the evidence and the Court adjourned till the morning, when counsel will address the jury and the Judge will sum up.
