There was an average yarding of cattle and pigs at the Levin weekly sale on Tuesday, but a small yarding of sheep, the weather recntly being ngainst mustering. Pig’s sold at about last week’s rales, showing a decline from previous s'Le:’of about 2/6, which at this time of the year is only to be expected. 'file genera] quality of both sheep and cattle yarded was below’ average and prices reflected quality. Detailed prices are as follows: pj gis.—Weaners 10'- to 12/6, small stores 15/- to 18/-, good conditioned stores £1 to 28/-, light porkers 30 - io £2 1/-, light baconers £3 to £3 1/-, sow to farrow £4 s'-. Slieep.—Light fat 2-1 h wethers 27/6, aged ewes 13/-, lambs 16/-. Fat cows to £4 10/-, forward conditioned cows 30/- to 35/-, s oie cows 21/- to 25/-, 4-year-old bullocks £1 (p. to £4 17'-, 3-vear-old ditto £3 r,/-. wcaner steers to 28/-, weaner heifers £1 to £2. 10s for better sorts, cows and calves £2 Is. Springing heifers £6 11/6 to £8 15/-. dairy cows according to quality £3 to £6.
