SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING.

A meeting of the Shannon School Committee was held last (evening. , Present: Messrs j. Murray (chairman), R. Tippler. G. P. Anderson, S. Anderson, 11. Hudson, T. Wot torsion, E. Wiarringtoni and; W. Carlyle (secretary). The resignation of Mrs Mason of the teaching staff was received with regret.—lt was decided to apply for a. relieving teacher to fid the vacancy until such time a;s a permanent teacher is appointed. On thjei motion of Mr s. Anderson it was decided, to make application to the Board for the erection of a coal shed suitable for holding six or seven tons of coal, and to point out that owing to the difficulty in procuring wood at a satisfactory price the committee arfet compelled to use coal.
