# OTAGO EXECUTIVE RESIGNS. PROVISIONAL COMMITTEE
APPOINTED,
DUNEDIN, Last Night,
A General meeting of the Otago Boxing Association was held to-night to consider -what steps should be taken, in view of the disqualification of the executive by the New Zealand Boxing Council. The president and executive decided to resign in a body, and a new chairman was appointed for the meeting. A provisional committee was then set up from members of the association not concerned in the disqualification, and the meeting then authorised this provisional committee to apply for re-affiliation to the Boxing Council. TIMA 111 OPPOSES CENTRE CONTROL. TIMARU, Bast Night. The Timaru Boxing Association passed a resolution strongly opposing the new system of Centre contral and requesting the Council to defer consideration of the matter till the next annual conference of delegates to be held coincident with the Dominion championships at Dunedin in July.
