DEPUTATION TO WAIT ON PREMIER

On Tulesday evening a meeting of those interested in the flax industry will wait on the Prime Minister (at Wellington to again place before him the importance of the flax industry to the Dominion and again ask for financial assistance from the Government in their fight against the yellow leaf disease among the flax. The flax has again taken a turn for the better as a result of the experiments already carried out and to enable Ibe flax growers to go further with their experiments it is essential they should have Government assistance financially. The Borough Council have been asked to be represented on the deputation.
