SHANNON GOLF CLUB.

* A committee meeting of the Shannon Golf Club was held on Wednesday evening, the president, Mr Abbott presiding. The secretary was instructed to write the N.Z. Golf Association re affiliation. A vote of thanks was accorded the ’ president for procuring a shed for a l pavilion and his action was confirm- ( ed. The following mew members were (elected: Mesdames H. Seifert, F. C. ( Stewart, Dr. Macdonald, Messrs J. H. Fargher, T. Cooper, F. C. Stewart. E. )A. H. George, C. Flardie, C. Parsons and J. H. T'aylor. On th© motion of Mr Morgan it Avas decided that the local rules be draAvn up by Mr Murphy and the captain and secretary. It was decided that the opening of the season take place at 2 p.m. to-mor-row 1 (Saturday). Arrangfements for an approaching and putting competition to be held on the opening day to be left in the hands ' of Mr Murphy.
