ATHLETIC SPORTS.

It was unanimously resolved at a meeting held, to close the business places of Shannon .from 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, the 28th day of April next. The following have agreed to close:—Harold E. Hook, F. Thomson, T. H. King, Shannon Co-op Cash Trading, A. de Luen, E. A. H. George, C. Hardie, J. H. Fargher, W. 11. Gunning and Co., Ltd., H. A. Scott, Chong Pok, C. T. Harvey, T. C, TJhwaites, J. Varley Burns, J. Crowther, Jhing Lee, E. Aldersey, P. E. Churcher, G. Vaughan, E. A. Frost, N. Gill, T. James.

The butchers will be closing their shops with the ■ hers as signed, but wilt/carry on tiicir deliveries.
