Competitors must wear usual full athletic costuYne, consisting of singlet and breeches (elbow h> knee). Competitors when nominating must send in the results of their last two years’ performances. All. events will be under the rules of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied vby nomination fees. Competitors must wear a number to be supplied by the Secretary and corresponding to that opposite their names on the programme. The decision of the judge or judges shall be final in every competition and they have the power to disqualify any competitor.

In high jump and broad jump each competitor shall be allowed three tries. The committee reserve the right of refusing any entry, making tiny change in the programme, postponing or abandoning the Sports if ncessary by weather or other circumstances, of which they shall be sole judges. All events five competitors or no 2nd £rize. Three competitors or no event. This rule will be strictly enforced. All entries must be made on N.Z. A.A.A. forms. All competitors must be in readiness when called, as the events must come off in the order stated. Any competitor .misconducting himself will be excluded from the competition, and if he should have successfully competed the must forfeit theorize. All competitors must leave toe ring after each event. None but the officials and competitors during the events allowed on the course. This rule will be strictly enforced. Scratchings.—All competitors not competing in any event must notify the scratching steward not less than' ten minutes before the event. All competitors must be financial members of their respective clubs. Ladies’ events.—-Competitors need not be members of any affiliated club. Tug-of-war.—Five men aside, including captain, to be pulled on battens, j Hip holts are barred. Judge’s decision final. Pull five minutes, if no decision, three minutes pull. All events run under the rules of the ! N.Z. Amateur Athletic Association. ! Entries for events No. 1 to 16 close j with the Secretary, on SATURDAY, April 21, at 8 p.m. Handicaps will appear in the Shannon News. The above is not the order of events. Novelty races and other interesting events arranged on the' ground.
