SHANNON ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION.
MEETING OF COMMITEE. There was a good attendance at the general committee meeting of the Shannon Athletic Association held on Friday evening. Mr J. T. Bovis presided. The programme for the forthcoming meeting on April 28 was submitted for approval, and after several amendments 'had been made, was passed. The secretary was instructed to write the bands at Pahnerston North, Levin, O.taki and Foxton as to terms for supplying music.
The following judges and haudicapper were elected: Startei, Mr Greedy; assistant, iMr T. Wood: judges, running and. cycling events, Messrs. Satherley, Downes and Young; handicapper and judge of chopping, Mr V. Croon: judge of tug-of-war, Mr .1. Curran; judge of flax events, Messrs. Greedy. and Carkeek.
Anyone desirous of becoming a member 'can procure tickets from the secretary, Mr Watkins. The annual subscription is 5/, which includes a lady's ticket, which will admit to all meetings held by the club during the vear.
