AGAINST AUCKLAND’S FISH MANAGER. CONVICTED ON FIFTEEN. AUCKLAND, Last Night. Twenty charges of theft were preferred at the Police Court against John Forbes Caio. who was until recently manager of the City Fish Market. The charges concerned moneys alleged to have been received on four dates bv accused from Hawkes’ for fish the total sum being £l9, 15/4. Accused pleaded not guilty. He was convicted on charges relating- to three days, those concerning the fourth day being dismissed. Ho was remanded for a week on bail. The accused alleged that the charges were the outcome of a C9nspiracy agajinst him, but the magistrate did not accept this The convicition covers 15 charges
