VARLEY BURNS IN the matter of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,” and in the matter of a Poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Shannon to raise a Loan of £II,OOO, to provide a water supply for the Borough of Shannon. , The result of the above-mentioned Poll, taken on Monday, the 26th day of February, 1923, on the above-men- ' tioned~proposal to borrow £II,OOO for the following'purposes:— (a) To enable the said Council to establish/ and carry out the follow- ’ ing work and undertakings: To construct ( a reservoir and intake, purchase all necessary materials and* lands and rights required, and lay water-pipes to' supply the inhabitants of the Borough of Shannon with water for domestic use and all ordinary purposes. (b) Preliminary expenses authorised under Section 4 (a) of the Local Bodies Loan Act, 1913. (c) The first year’s interest and sinking fund of the loan during the construction of such work. The Loan Will be repayable by means of a sinking fund within a period of 361 years from the raising of the loan. As security for payment of interest and sinking fund in respect of the Loan, it is make a special rate of One Penny in the Pound on all rateable property' Within Borough of Shannon. It is proposed to pay out of ,the loan moneys preliminary and other expenses, the cost of raising the Loan and the interest and sinking fund of tire Loan during the first year.
