f L lorry goes over side. DRIVER KILLED ;Another sad accident occurred on Paekakariki. 'HiIL last .night,„ whereby Mif James O’Connqr, carrier,' oft Manakau, late of Otaki, lost his life. Accompanied by a passenger, Mr Chas. Ellery, Mr O’Connor was driving a. motor lorry from Wellington. In passing a motor-car occupied by Messrs. Miller and Patrick, at a spot near the top on this side of thei hill, the lorry went over the bank and rolled a long distance down the gullyThe driver was killed instantly, this neck being broken. Mr Ellery escaped practically unhurt. • Constable Satheriey, accompanied by several volunteers, proceeded to the spot immediately, and, the body was removed to Otaki, where* an inquest was helcf this morning before Mr W. C. Nation, District Coroner. Deceased was a married man with three children, and 1 much sympathy will be felt for Mrs O’Connor and her s young family in their loss.
