SHANNON BOROUGH COUNCIL. PROPOSED SPECIAL LOAN OF £II,OOO. In the matter: pi!" the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and the Local ‘ Bodies Loan Act, 1913/ and tis amendments.! NOTICE is hereby given, in terms of Section 9 -of the Local Bodies Loan Act, 1913, that it is proposed by the Shannon Borough Council to raise, 'under Part 1 of the said Act, a Special/ Loan of £II,OOO. , ■ The said Loan is required for the following, purposes:— (a) To enable the said Council to establish and’ carry out the’ following work and undertakings: To construct a reservoir and ini ; : : take, .purchase all necessary materials and land* and rights required, and lay water-pipes to supply the inhabitants of the , Borough of Shannon with water for domestic use and all ordinary purposes. ib) Preliminary • expenses author-.' ised under. Section ‘4 (a) of the Local Bodies Loan Act, 1913. (c) The first-year’s interest and sinking fund of the loan during the. i construction of such work. The Loan will be repayable by means of a sinking fund within a period of 36J years from the raising of the loan. As securily for payment, of interest and sinking fund in respect of the Loan, it is proposed to make a special rate of One Penny in the Pound on all rateable property within the Borough of Shannon. It, is proposed to pay out of the loan moneys preliminary and other expenses, the cost of raising the Loan and the interest and sinking fund of the Loan during the’’first year.
