SHANNON BOROUGH COUNCIL. PROPOSED SPECIAL LOAN OF ' £II,OOO. In the. matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and the. Local , Bodies Loan Act, 1913, and tis amendments. NOTICE 'is hereby given, in terms of Section 9 of the Local Bodies Loan Act, 1913, that it is proposed by the Shannon Borough Council to raise, under Part 1 of the said Act, a Special Loan of £II,OOO. The said Loan is required for the following purposes:— (a) To enable the said Council to establish and carry out the following work and undertakings: To construct a reservoir and intake, purchase all necessary materials and land, and rights required, and lay water-pipes lo • supply the inhabitants of the ' Borough of Shannon with water for domestic use : and all ordinary purposes. (b) Preliminary expenses authorised under Section 4 (a) of the Local Bodies Loan Act, 1913. (c) The first year’s interest and sinking fund of the loan during'the coristruction of such work. The Loan will be repayable by means of' a sinking fund within a period of 36.} years from the raising of the loan. As security for payment of interest and sinking fund in respect of the Loan, it is proposed to make a special rate of One Penny in the Pound on all rateable property within the Borough of Shannon. It is proposed to pay out of the loan moneys/preliminary and-other expenses, the cost of raising the 1 Loan and the interest and sinking fund of the Loan during the first year. /Dated at Shannon, this 16th day of January, 192&.
