SUPER FEATURE TO-NIGHT.

WAITING FOR DAWN.”

The main item on to-night’s bill at the local theatre is a wonderful Universal masterpiece. It possesses many unique and daring features, and is set in charming surroundings. The picture is one of the great triumphs of recent production, and should not be missed. “SILK HOSIERY”— MONDAY. On Monday a gripping romance entitled “Silk Hosiery” will be screened. It revolves round Marjorie Bowen, a model working in an ultra-fashionable modiste shop. She reads popular books, but sees little signs of romance ever entering her own drab life. However, one day Sir Leeds, a good-look-ing Englishman, enters the shop, and Marjorie’s heart misses a beat or two. But she soon learns that he has just come in to wait for his fiancee, and her hopes vanish. Later, Marjorie overhears a conversation between the fiance and one Cad Jones. Marjorie learns that Sir Leeds’ lady is a crook, and that she and Jones are planning to steal certain jewels and an incriminating letter which the Prince indiscreetly gave to a society lady in New York on a previous visit to America. Sir Leeds’ fiancee is Yvette Fernau. Marjorie dons the gown being made for Yvette, and while wearing it is kidnapped by two thugs. Sir Leeds, catching sight of her, and thinking she is Yvette, follows in a taxicab, and thus falls into the trap set for him by Jones. Interesting developments ensue, and then Marjorie’s room-mate, alarmed at the girl’s failure to return home, goes to the shop. She finds her fast asleep arrayed in one of Yvette’s gorgeous gowns, and arouses her from her romantic dream.
