MARTON MEETING CONCLUDED.
SCOTCH MIXTURE WINS MEMORIAL. TELEGRAPH TO CIVILFORM. The Marton Jackey Club’s annual meeting was concluded, yesterday in line weather. There was a large attendance and the track was in real good order, but the starting was not up to standard. Backers of the favourites did not fare very well as only four first fancies scored during the two days. The totalisator investments were £28,657 as compared with £30,568 on the corresponding day last year, making a total of £66,138 for the two days, against £70,228 last year—a decrease of £4094.
