WEDNESDAY’S BIG FEATURE. ,
South Africa and its wonderful wealth of precious stones is the theme of the hig line in Wednesday night’s programme. Around famous fields that produce their virgin wealth in the shape of gold or precious stones there is always an air of, romance, and when to that is added the illicit trade of smuggling on diamond fields there is material enough to produce a dramatic picture, full of thrilling- situations. This is the theme of Wednesday’s big picture, ‘“The Sins of .Rosanne,” starring Ethel Clayton and Jack Holt. Rosanne, the heroine, sacrifices everything to gratify her love for diamonds, even to conspiring with smugglers. When hand-in-glove with the smugglers site meets Sir Denis Harlendon, an English visitor, who is infatuated, and they agree to marry. How she is rescued from the machinations of smuggling and finally becomes the bride of Sir Denis forms a story of the strongest heart interest.
Coming on Friday is Carl Laemmle’s presentation of Priscilla Dean in her crowning success, “Wild Honey, from the world-famous novel by Cynthia Stock!ey.
