TO THE ELECTORS OF MANAWATU.
Ladies and Gentlemen,—l wish to record my thanks to the electors wiio voted lor ine at the recent poll. Considering that my campaign only lasted two and a-half weeks, and that the electorate is a large and scattered one, I ain thoroughly satisfied with the support accorded me, especially as 1 did not ask anyone for his vote, had no committees and no cars running on my behalf, and was up against the strongly organised Reform and Labour Parties. All meetings which 1 held (one each day, including Sundays) were orderly,' and I received a patient hearing. The Election, as far as the Manawatu Electorate was concerned, was conducted in, I consider, an excellent spirit; absolutely no personalities, which cannot be said of the majority of electorates. I found that the spirit of the old Liberal Party was very, very far from dead, and I hope to be able to again offer myself as a Candidate at the next election.—Yours, etc., H. T. FLYGER.
