THE LEVIN SALE.
PORKER PIGS DECLINE. A small entry all round was yarded at the Levin sale on Tuesday, the only notable change, in late prices being a decline in porker pigs, exceptionally good animals being quitted at 38/ to £2 If. Weaners were the best selling line- in the pig section, and the inquiry was good, the best sorts realising up to 21/. Cattle were again dull of sale, and the business done was on a low grade of prices throughout. Sheep comprised a small entry, but values remain at a high level, fat lambs making -25/, and shorn ewes with lambs 38/.
Cattle.— Three and four-year-old store bullocks £5 4/, bad coloured bullocks £3 1.7/, forward cows £2 7/6 to G 3, fat cows £2 3/ to £3 4/, vealers 38/6, small dairy heifers £3 6/ to £4 10/. cows and calves £3 12/6. Sheep.—Fat. ewes 27/, light fat ewes 25/. store ewes 19/, fat and forward two-tooths 24/, shorn ewes and lambs 38/. Pigs.—Weaners 14/ to 22/, stores £1 t/.to 26/, porkers 30/, 31/, 35/ and £2 1/.
