Mr G. H. McClure, in his election address at. Weraroa on Tuesday, referred to dangerous railway crossings. At question time, Mr T. Walker said in regard to crossing accidents there were electric bells at the crossings in Levin, yet he had seen people crossing when the bells were ringing. That was bow accidents occurred, and the same applied to motors. Mr McClure; said that may be so, but at the Porirua crossing it was quite impossible to see trains coming from Wellington, and improvement was urgently required. He was pleased to hear there were electric alarms - in Levin.
