NO-TOBACCO LEAGUE.

The American No-Tobacco League held its annual convention to-day and passed a resolution denouncing tobacco and calling upon all State Legislatures to pass laws safeguarding the inalienable rights of non-smokers, and prohibiting the advertisement of tobacco through newspapers and periodicals.'

The resolution declares, “Non-smok-ers havje the inherent right to breathe pure air, uncontaminated by the: poisonous fumes of tobacco smoke.” It condemns the movie industry for showing pictures with the leading characters actually appearing to enjoy cigars, cigarettes and pipes. London Daily Mail, August 18. This is just what will happen in this country if the liberty-killing, joyless fanatics who are trying to persuade you that prohibition is a fine thing, have their way. Do you want a “No-Tobacco League” and other societies aiming at the curtailment of your freedom in this country? Of course you don’t! Then Vote Continuance. 81
