BOWLING.
THE DIXON CUP. On Saturday a rink from the Shannon Club journeyed to Feilding to try conclusions with a rink from the Feilding Club for the Dixon Cup. A good game followed. For the first seven heads the score, stood five all, then Feilding got a break on and at one time were 19 to 9. From then on Shannon obtained six to Feilding’s one. The score ended Feilding 20, Shannon 15. Following were the teams: Feilding: Quayle, Levett, Herdman, Mason (skip), 20. Shannon: Roach, Murphy, Gagliardi and Knowles (skip) 15.
