IN BANKRUPTCY.
The Deputy Official Assignee presided over another meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate: of J. T. and E. Rose, farmers, of Koputaron, which was held at Palmerston North yesterday. There were also present J. T. Rose, the bankrupt, represented by Mr Adams; Mr E. E. Johnston, and Mrs J. Cameron, with his solicitor, Mr Abraham. Under oath, bankrupt stated that he knew nothing of any stock alleged to he grazing on the property at Burmythorpe, and that there was no milking plant there. He was unable to make Mr Johnston any offer. On the. motion of Mr Johnston, it wss decided that the bankrupt, be given till September 14 to find £250, or in the alternative the D.O.A. to wind-up the estate. It was also resolved that the £250 be paid to Mr Johnston, who agreed to transfer his mortgage to the D.0.A., or his nominee, or to release same, It was further decided that bankrupt should get the proi ceeds from his milk till this matter was decided.
