(From Our Own Correspondent.; The two eJectr,i,c motors for driving the pumps in the No. 2 tunnel arrived in Arapeti on Wednesday, and are being connected up immediately. As the cabling is already installed, the setting up will not. be a long job. llie motors are of British manufacture, and each of 10h.p. One travels at 1000 revolutions per minute and the other 750. The timbering of the control s'hatt has given cause for a little anxiety, the heavy weight causing several sets to strain severely. These have now been reinforced with extra timbers, and it is anticipated all will be well, preparations for concreting are proceeding apace.
