"THE HOME STRETCH."
SPORTING DRAMA ON WEDNESDAY.
Another good sporting drama will be secreened at, the Maoriland Theatre on Wednesday evening, entitled, "The Home Stretch." The story hovers round a famous racehorse Honeyblossom, whidh Johnny Hardcastle finds is the only thing left to him after the death of his father. Johnny stakes everything he possesses on his horse to win a big purse, but victory is snatched away when seemingly within his grasp. Down and out, but with his horse still left to him, he seeks a position in a wayback township, where he makes good. A big race is got up, and Johnny enters Honeyblossom and wins, and a year later returns to his former home with a comfortable fortune, the winnings of his horse: Better still, he finds that Margaret Warren still entertains, for. him the affection of old, and the story ends happily with tthe lovers reunited. "The Home Stretch" will be shown at Tokomaru on Thursday night. '
During the screening on Wednesday, evening dancing will take place as usual, and the'evening promises'.to be a very enjoyable one.
