WAIRARAPA TEAM ARRIVES.
A ROUND OF ENTERTAINMENT
The Wairarapa touring team arrived in Shannon by the New Plymouth express yesterday afternoon, and was met at the station by Mr W. Bevan, I of 'nhe Management Committee of the I Horowhenua Rugby Union, and Messrs W. Moynihan and T. B. Mason, representing the Shannon Football I Club and the local committee which is controlling the arrangements for to-morrow's rep. match, and has in hand the entertainment of the visitors during their stay in Shannon. There was also a large number of football enthusiasts present, and the team, was given a hearty welcome arid conducted to their quarters at the two local hotels. To-day the team was taken out to the hydro-electric works at Mangahao, and in the evening entertainment will be provided for them. To-mor-row they will be motored to the Miranui mill, and in the evening will be the guests at a smoke concert given by the; football supporters of Shannon, j 41
