HOW TO SAVE £22,500,000.
A careful estimate that rather Turstates the case, shows that every year in New Zealand 7J million pounds arewasted on intoxicating drink. If prohibition is not carried at the next poll,, this means that in the three following: years, at least £22,500,000 will be spent on drink. Voting prohibition will stop that, save that money for other purposes. The President of the National Association of Manufacturers in the’ U.S.A. writing on March 22nd, 1922 r said:—“ln the smaller cities and towns and in the country districts, thousands of homes have been built which would not have been built and millions of women and children hava been provided with food and clothes ; who have suffered for these necessities if there were no Prohibition Amendment.’ ’ Prohibition is just Commonsense.
