FOXTON RESIDENTS PASS AWAY.
MR AND MR§ WALTER BOCK
Profound regret lias been caused in Foxtail by the deaths within a . couple of davs of each -other of Mr and Mis Walter Bock, well known residents for the past sixteen years. Mrs Bock had been confined to' her home tor some month,, bearing a long illness with great patience and fortitude. Site died on Friday. Mr Bock was in liis usual health up till Wednesday, when be was seized with pneumonia and lapsed into unconsciousness, passing away on Sunday without the knowledge of liis wile's death, Both lie’ and Mrs Bock took a keen interest in local affairs, and Mr Bock was for some time secretary, and latterly a member of the Fo-xton Haibourßoaid, and be looked forward to the development and improvement of the port. He was at one timet engaged in flaxmiliing. The interments take place at Featherston, where Mr and Mrs Bock resided when they,came to New Zealand from Tasmania forty years ago.
