LOAN OF £296,500 AUTHORISED
Ashburton, July 27
The Ashburton Electric Power Board’s loan authorisation poll, involving the sum of £296,500, Was carried to-day by a majority of 491. 'i he poll was taken on the three-fifths majority bosis. The total number of ratepayers on the roll was 3872, and the number of votes .case was 1695. Of these 1590 were recorded in favour pf the scheme, and 96 against. The informal votes numbered nine.
