MAORILAND THEATRE.
FRANK MAYO IN “DR. JIM.”
“Dr. Jim,” the universal special attraction starring Frank Mayo, which is coming to the local theatre to-mor-row, contains one ol the most unusual situations ever presented in a love story. Frank Mayo appears as a surgeon of -eminent standing, whose broken health compelled a long voyage lor which he and his wile chartered a sailing boat captained by a soulless brute and manned by a motley crew. Unable to fight in. defence of himself of his wife’s honour, the surgeon is called on suddenly through the act of Fate to hold a surgeon's scalpel over the head of the beast whose desires had come near, to' satisfaction. And a few hours afterward a long bundle is held over the rail of the ship for a moment while something is read from a book ,and then it is allowed to drop into the waves.
