Mr E. Newman raised the question in the House of educational facilities for the children of the workers at Mangahao. The Minister for Education replied that lie was satisfied that some provision was necessary for these children, and the Minister for Public Works believed lie could set. aside a hall for the purpose. Otherwise this was a case where a portable school was most suitable. The responsibility of providing these facilities rested with the Wellington Education Board.
