SHANNON BOROUGH COUNCIL. A SPECIAL MEETING of the Shannon Borough Council was held in the Council Chambers on Tuesday, July 11, 1922, at 7.30 p.m., when it was resolved by way of - Special Order as follows: That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Housing Act, 1919, Section 16 of the Local Bodies Act, 1913, and Section 333 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the_ Shannon Borough Council , resolves by Special Orders as follows: That for the purpose of acquiring land, and building thereon workers’ dwellings, the' Shannon Borough Council hereby authorises the raising of a loan of £4500 period of 36£ years, and declares that the cost of raising the loan shall be paid out of the monies so raised, and the Council pledges as security for such loan and the interest thereon, a Special Rate of iwodifths of a penny in the £ on the Capital Value of all the rateable property in the Borough of Shannon.
