REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL MEETING. * The annual meeting of the Horowhenua Referees’ Association' was held- on Saturday evening. ' Present: Messrs. E. J. Nash, J. Sciascia, H. Karauti, J. W. Procter, M. Winiata, E. Claridge, Arcus, T. Wehipehana, J. O’Connor, J. Casey, Seymour, R. A. Sloan, and R. W. Percy. Mr Percy presided. The balance-sheet, which showed a credit of 10/6, was adopted?

Office-bearers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: President, Mr R. W. Percy; vice-presidents, Messrs. H. Karauti and J. W. Procter; secretary and treasurer, Mr R. A. Slcan; management committee, Messrs. O’Connor, Casey, Thomson, and officers ex-officio; examination committee, Mr W. Thomson, with a recommendation to add Messrs. O'Connor and Casey if required; vicepresident to New Zealand Referees’ Association, Mr. R. W. Percy; delegate to New Zealand Referees’ Association, Mr V. Higgins (Retorte). Messrs. Seymour (Kukri) and Grimstone were elected members of the Association.

It was decided to meet weekly on Saturdays as formerly. The new rule regarding kicking into touch having been adopted by the New Zealand Rugby Uniori, it was decided it be brought into operation on Saturday next.
