A motor car race was held at Muriwai Beach, Auckland, on Sunday, when 50 miles were covered in 37 minutes 13 seconds. The race was won by a Cadillac car, a Hudson being defeated by two-flftlis of a. second.
A farmer stated at the Magistrate’s Court in Auckland on Wednesday that his income for several months past from a 60-acre farm had been £4 per month. With this, he had to support four people.
