SHANNON OUTPLAYS TE HORO,
A match was played at Shannon on Saturday between the local team, the leaders in the eiu ; b competition in the northern end of the district, and Te Horo, who won a similar position ol eminence in the southern, to decide the club championship of the district. The result was a decisive win for the home team by 156 to 58 on the single innings. The winners hit out freely, and only lour members of the'' team failed to run their scores into double figures. The losers, with the exception of Lawry (27) and Johnson (11); were very quickly dispatched, mainly through the agency of Morgan’s bowling. This- player secured the remarkably good average of eight for 26. Details of the scoring are as under: —
