LEVIN STOCK SALE.
SMALL ENTRY OF SHEEP. A decided drop in the number ol sheep entered was a feature of ’he Levin stock sale on Tuesday. There were no fat wethers offer vl, and the store sheep submitted were of a federally poor standard. No doubt tanners with store sheep on their hands have been deterred by the poor i rnes ruling at previous sales, and have de cidedl to hold their lines for the present "at least. The attendance c f buyers was fairly large, but as lias 1 cen the case of late, bidding was not at all spirited, as the prices appended will indicate. The cattle yarding was rather smaller than has ueen the r ile for two or three sales past, and pices showed no improvement. Jns good pen of Jersey cross wearier heiters v v a pedigree bull, offered on behalf. <1 Mr Glassfordf of Ihakara, elicited a bid of £4, hut at this price the owner declined to sell* and the Hie was passed.
