Sir,—To me it seems that it is time some complaint is made about our local school, Every year there is a picnic held and the proprietor of the Theatre allows the school the Theatre to show a picture to raise funds. Then a subscription, list is} (politely?) sent round. Now, sir, as there is no lack of juvenile talent in Shannon, as can he proved by the success of ,f The Eastern Charm” and the Girl Scouts’ concert, what I wish to know is, Why is it impossible for our teachers to get up a concert, and not send round a list When Miss Hughes and the late Mr Trainor were on the staff, some very successful concerts were given, hut now, Why no concert?—! am ,etc., Q.E.D.
