Tuesday's sale at Levin was signalised by a heavy yarding ol that a in ail sections. A small yarding o! lat wethers met with a keen demand and these* changed hands at price;-, ranging from 17/3 to 21/. Similarly the lat ewes, oi which a large yarding was offered, met with good convention and realised late rates, the prices ranging irom 14/3 to 17/3.. Lat lambs also sold well. A good yarding of fat cattle was offered, but competition was poor, veaiers realising from 20/ to 25/. Store cattle were ml wanted at all, and only a few peris changed hands. A big yarding ol pigs was offered, including a gieat number of vveaners, an indinv 'n oi the decrease in the milk supply occasioned by the dry weather. SUuev.are not eagerly sought after at dye vendors' prices, and a lew lines were passed in. Prices realised were as under: —

Pigs.--Weaners 5/ to 8/0 and 5 0 for small, to 10/6 and t 14/ for better sons; shoes 14/ to 25/; light porkers M/ h ; 380 heavier 38/ to 45/; haconers i'2 ’*o to £3 6/.

Sheep.—-Fat iambs 15/, 16/, 18/ and 21/; fat wethers 17/3 to 21/, fat ewes 14/3 to 17/3; stores, m.s. Jambs (poor) 4/11, *5/7 and 6/, others 7/9, 'B/6, 8/9 to 11/; breeding ewes (poor) 8/2, 8/9; others 14/, 14/8, 35/6 to 15/9. Cattle.—Three-year steers £2 17/8; empty cows 11/, 15/, 20/ to £2 5/; hulls 15/ to 37/6; lat cows £2 12/6, £3 5/ to £3 17/6; veaiers 21/ to 25/.
