“THE IDOL DANCER,“ WEDNESDAY. The magic o-f David Griffith is manifest in his South Sea Island feature, “The Idol Dancer,” a story that transports one to the exotic surroundings of the tropical islands, with the atmosphere of romance amid waving palms and coral reef's. There is a wonderful new ' personality* in Clarine Seymour, who plays the title role, a graphic piece of wonderful acting, by Dick Rarthelmess as the beachcomber, and. by Creighton Hale as'the invalid who meets the great adventure as a hero would. Psychology is presen! as with ah Griffith productions, and in the attack of a blackbirder and lus dusky* minions there are furnished thrills enough and to spare. ‘ The Idol Dancer,” with fulF supports, makes a splendid programme for Wednesday night.
DOUBLE STAR FRIDAY. On Friday a splendid new serial will be included in the bill. It is entitled “Smashing Barriers.” This is everybody's serial—man, woman or child. It contains every possible eie ment oi adventure, and offers a marvellous depiction of the brawn an strength, the versatility and virility of the screen’s greatest strong man of to-day, the champion of them ail — William Duncan. The authors are Cyrus Townsend Brady, a writer of international fame, and Albert ESmith. Its stage is the great outdoors, a lumber camp in the West. Its action is high powered. We know you will like it. In conjunction win this picture will be shown a remarkable story entitled “The Turn of the Road,” a production that ha sbeen a record-breaker wliereever shown.
