Mr and Mrs Sam Bowker and child, oi' Buckley, leave this week for England. The usual meeting of the Borough Council will be held to-night. 1 Mr Edwards, the Borough Engineer, has completed the survey in connection with a water scheme l'or Shannon, and is at present preparing the estimates. A unique function in the form of a triple silver wedding was celebrated recently at the residence of Mr W. Fuller, jun., at Keri Keri, Bay of Islands, when Mr and Mrs Fuller, Mr and Mrs P. H. Fortune, of Grey Lynn, Auckland, and Mr and Mrs Kerr, of I-Jukerunui, celebrated the twenty-fifth 1 anniversary of their wedding, which took place at Coromandel on December 25, 1896, the officiating minister being the Rev. G. Frost, now of Le-1 vin. The three ladies concerned are sisters, and are daughters of the late Mr T. Fyfe and of Mrs Fyfe, of Kiripaka, the latter being one of the guests at the anniversary. Between 60 and 70 guests, all relatives, were present, and the function was fittingly celebrated.
