MAORILAND THEATRE.
A line programme is due at tire local pictures to-night. The star picture features Alice Lake in “The Greater Claim,” and amongst the supports is a Bruce Scenic which has set a new standard in picture merit. The work oi' E. K. Lincoln is outstanding in a remarkable photoplay, “The Inner Voice,” which will be presented at the Maoriland Theatre on Friday evening. JYIr Lincoln has many startling characterisations to his credit, but not one equals in dramatic intensity that oi Malik Reid, the money king. As a lover, as the derelict who is completely down and out, and finally as the mysterious millionaire, he is always effective and forceful. Agnes Ayres, who played opposite lead, is one of the most beautiful women on the screen stage to-day. Her acting is true and appealing, and adds a sympathetic touch to the drama. The story is profoundly dramatic as well as absolutely logical, a rare combination to be found these days. This Lincoln programme will be screened at Tokomaru on Thursday evening.
