TOM MIX IN “THE HOAD DEMON” Tom Mix in the saddle, at the wheel o! a racing car, doing stunts with the •id of his horse Tony and leaping a river in his car —in addition to winning the hand of a pretty girl—will he Hie attraction at the Maoriland Theatre to-morrow (Saturday) evening, in his latest William Fox western picture, “The Hoad Demon.” This thrilling, speedy comedy of western life is declared to .be the best Mix has made—which is saying something for the clever Fox star. He begins by swapping his horse (not Tony, of course) lor a broken-down auto on tiie desert, and, finding the steering gear broken, he uses his lariat to guide the pesky thing, lie finally gets it going. He rides back to the ranch. He can’t stop the car. He rides lit rough a fence and then a barn and at length tie yells to his cowboy lriends to shoot a hole in the gas tank to make it halt.

There arc. good supports in a Sunshine comedy and an interesting cartoon.

On Monday the drama “A Sinless Sinner,” and a comedy “After the Bull” will he the star items.
