The Shannon News will not he published on Tuesday next owing to the holidays. The next meeting of the Shannon Borough Council has been fixed for Tuesday, January 10, 1922. The proposed meeting of the Cricket Association, to have been held in Shannon last Monday, was postponed owing to the non-appearance of the Levin delegates. Work ceased to-day on the Mangahao for the holidays, and will be resumed again on January!). Good progress has bean made with the tunnels and also excavation work lor the clam.
Tito improvements to the north cum of ITimmer Terrace are proceeding apa.ee, and already the work is a great benefit to that part of the town.
