CRICKET ASSOCIATION CRITICISED.
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—Re “Twelfth Man’s” letter in your edition of December 6, I quite
agree with his remarks. Also t ome people, were not informed of the change until very late, as no notfioation was published in your pap6r. Everyone in Shannon plays cricket ic-r the loVe of the exercise, and though we want the Cup, it seerns a bad principle to cancel a match because a “rep.” is being played elsewhere, and one’s best men are away. Surely “Rep.” matches can be played some other day, or else take the same number of people from the opposing League teams. The latter seems a fair way out of the difficulty.—l am., etc., * H.G.L.W.
