LEVIN FLOWER SHOW MONDAY.
ENTRIES CLOSE SATURDAY. 'Monday will be a special occasion in Levin, for on that day Hfs Excellency the Governor, will pay an official visit, will decorate several soldiers, and will open the-mnnual summer show. Weather permitting a visiting aeroplane will make a series of flights. The show will be opened by Lord Jellicoe at 11 o’clock, and will be open to the public throughout the afternoon and evening, when music and tea will be provided. The show gives every promise of being a brilliant success. Already a number of entries have been received, includin gseveral from! Shannon. Entries close on Saturday night at 8 o’clock, and should be addressed Box 19, Levin. Schedules may be seen at the Borough Council office (Miss Cameron) of the local newsagents. The last mail available closes at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Exhibits must be in , the stewards’ hands not later than 9.30 on Monday morning ,at the Century Hall. A public meeting will be held in Shannon on Monday evening in the interests of the Prohibition movement. The principal speaker will be Mr 11. Grinsteacl, district organiser of the S.’L. Alliance.
